In this masterclass we will complete the artwork by working on the ink drawing and the final details of the peacock.
Starting from the watercolor base created in the previous phase, we will build the ink drawing together in my style using fineliners, hatching, patterns, and different types of marks to define the figure, create depth, and enrich the surface of the drawing.
The peacock is a particularly interesting subject for ink work: the shapes of the feathers, the variety of textures, and the dynamics between light and shadow allow us to explore mark-making in a very expressive way and develop a drawing full of rhythm and movement.
During the masterclass we will work step by step on all parts of the subject, progressively building the drawing through different types of marks and learning how to find the right balance between line, texture, and color.
In the final part of the process we will also see how to use some additional materials that I often include in my artworks to enrich the final result with subtle glazes, small touches of color, and highlights.

  • Video time: 1:20 hours
  • Complete materials list
  • Extra Videos

You will learn:

  • my ink drawing technique using fineliners
  • how to use hatching, lines, and patterns to build light and shadow
  • how to develop texture and movement in the feathers
  • how to use different types of marks to make the drawing richer and more dynamic
  • how to integrate the drawing with the watercolor base
  • how to work with outlines to create depth and structure
  • how to add details and final materials to complete the artwork

During the masterclass you will also find several extra in-depth contents, dedicated to some key aspects of ink drawing in my style.

In these extra lessons we will take a closer look at topics such as:
• the main types of marks and hatching techniques
• how to identify the direction of hatching by following the volumes of the figure
• how to work with outlines to give rhythm and depth to the drawing
• how to build feather patterns and decorative textures

As in all my masterclasses, I will share with you not only the drawing techniques but also my creative approach to the process.
For me, ink drawing is a very focused and almost meditative process: a continuous dialogue between observation, gesture, and intuition that allows you to develop a personal and increasingly confident mark.
This masterclass is designed to be followed together with the watercolor part, guiding you step by step through the complete creation of the peacock in my style.
By the end of the masterclass you will have completed the drawing and the final details of the artwork, and you will have gained new techniques to enrich your graphic language.
